Lorna grew up on a grain and cattle farm in south central Saskatchewan. Music and poetry have always played an important part in her life, enjoyed with and influenced by her mom.

Her favorite instrument is piano/keyboard, although there have been other instruments as well. Her favorite genres are gospel and country/western. She has often sung solos, in choirs, in small groups including a few years in a bluegrass band, and several years singing tenor and later lead in a barbershop quartet.

She enjoys writing and performing monologs based on women in the Bible. 

Lorna has written a vast amount of poetry - some by request, but mostly from personal experience. Although Lorna has often volunteered at ACPA events, she is new to their stage.
