You'll find some of our member entertainers perfoming at a lot of these cowboy gatherings and music festivals, but you'll also find listings for other events, too. If you're looking for entertainment check out the following coming events!

We do our best to ensure the accuracy of postings, however, we suggest you contact the event organizers directly to confirm. If you have an event you'd like us to post here send it to our president for consideration.

The Gathering is held each year in memory of local cowboy poet and event organizer, Lee Earl. Earl was not only a fine cowboy poet, but was very active in the youth poetry and music program.

Join Jinny Lowe, publisher of Happy Trails, AWA award winning Dejay, Toe Tappin' Tommy Tucker, Smoke Wade, Jimmy Bullard and the Lee Earl Family for an unforgettable weekend of cowboy poetry and western music.

Puttin' Fox Creek on the Map!

Fox Creek, Alberta is hosting its first Cowboy Poetry and Traditional Cowboy Music weekend commencing Saturday Evening, March 20 and finishing Sunday Morning, March 21, 2010. The schedule of events and times are as follows:

The Saturday Evening show will be emceed by Bob Marple and will include well known cowboy poets and pickers Bob Holt, Wendy Vaughan, Chris and Sharky (Mark) Schauer and BJ Smith. Chris and Sharky will also conduct the Sunday morning Cowboy Church service.

Events will be held at the Fox Cree Community Hall. Tickets: $25.00 each with all proceeds going to the Fox Creek Youth Council.

2:00 pm, with a possible 6:30 pm performance

At Town & Country Centre (just off #2 Highway), 275 Jenson Drive. Tickets: $20.00 presold, $23.00 at the door. Special price of $18.00 for groups of 12 or more available at MCC Music on Main Street, Frog Hollow on East Lake Blvd in Airdrie, or contact Miriam. Refreshments will be served by the Airdrie Air Cadets with all proceeds going to their club. Order tickets early as every year has been a sell-out event. Featuring: The lights will dim and the yodeling begins with 30 members of the Calgary Swiss Yodel Club yodeling in 5 part harmony with no mics or back up music. The Swiss folk dancers dressed in colorful costumes from the different cantons they represent in Switzerland. Alphorn players, toe tappin' accordion music, Miriam & the Mountaineers with old traditional yodeling and songs of yesteryear. The Doll sisters who are fast becoming Alberta's rising stars. Master of Ceremonies, Wayne Dolen (son of the late Lloyd Dolen) brought back by popular demand will tickle your funny bones and really knows how to keep the show on the go.
