Hazel and her husband Reg, live on an acreage outside Ponoka. They are now retired, but were into raising mules. Hazel may be a newcomer to the Cowboy Poetry scene, but she is no amateur when it comes to performing. Hazel always loved reciting poetry, and started writing her own poetry about five years ago. She is a big fan of the poems of Robert Service. She may be new to the Alberta Cowboy Poetry Association, but her performances at the Willow Creek Cowboy Gathering,Stavely Alberta, Maple Creek Saskatchewan and the Alberta Cowboy Poetry Association's Trail's End at Cochrane have already earned her a number of bookings.

You will thoroughly enjoy Hazel's wit and humour.

"On this disc I have tried to put together a collection of what I feel are my best. The first seventeen I wrote myself, the next four are 'favourites' by author unknown and the last two are favourites by Robert Service."
